The Cars Of High Altitude Racing
Here are some photo's and descriptions of the cars of the High Altitude Racing team. See the photo pages for lots more photos

Steve's 1970 Camaro
This is my 1970 Chevy Camaro. Alot of hard work and money went into this car. It is probably a little on the edge for a street car but is an absolute blast to drive. It runs a 427cid small block chevy engine very heavily modified obviously. It runs the power through a TCI TH350 tranny to a Moser built 9 inch rear end. The car actually runs quite well on the street with a top rate cooling sytstem it never sees over 185 degrees even in bumper to bumper traffic, and running a low 10 to 1 compression with aluminum heads it runs great on 91 octane pump gas. I had to comprimise a little to make the car such a good performer at the track. It runs a full spool in the rear and a ladder bar and coil-over shock rear suspension. That makes for a pretty rough ride but it does give the car a 1.5 60 foot time.

Justin's 1967 Firebird
This is Justin's 1967 Firebird. He currently runs a very streetable big block chevy engine, TH350 tranny and 9 inch rear axle. His car has an almost full interior and is probably as "street" as you will find a 10 sec. car.

Joe's 04 GIXXER

This is Joe's newest toy. Like a Hot New Paint Job on the IROC is not enough. He is a smart guy always wears his helmet!! We love to watch the rich guy get richer good job Joe!!!  He also just started his own racing club, check out the stickers on the bike and car

Joe's 1985 Camaro
This is Joe's 1985 Camaro. He obviously has a beutifull custom paintjob to show off for the ladies but this car is no slouch either. He runs a 350 small block with fully ported world products heads, custom cam and a Top Gun nitrous system jetted for 150 shot. A Flowmaster exhaust system expells the fumes and the car gets up and moves thanx to its 4.11 gearset housed in a chevy 10 bolt rearend.  Joe this year is sporting  a new hood, deck lid and paint.  Check out the other pics on the photo page.
Billy and Stephs 1988 GTA Trans AM

Billy and Sheph has the 88 GTA  Trans Am. This GTA has a 350 TPI and a set of 373 gears. We love to have some new people in to the hobby of showing their car and street racing it too.

Shane's 1970 GTO
The full interior, factory restored apperance of Shane's 1970 GTO hides its true soul to the untrained eye. This gorgeous muscle car is hard core to the bone sporting a worked 455 pontiac. It features ported Edelbrock heads, a custom ground Comp solid roller cam and a full Top Gun nitrous chaser. This beast is powershifted with a modified Muncie 4sp tranny mated to GM 12 bolt rear held up with Comp Engineering ladder bars.
Dean's 1987 Mustang
Dean's Mustang hatch is its own breed. Its high compression carbureted 306 is more akin to something you would see in a circle track car than a street pounder. It just goes to show that fully ported Bennet heads, high compression, a massive roller cam and a prepped NASCAR carb truly can be right at home in a daily driver. Oh yea, then there is the matter of the Top Gun direct port fogger system. Dean shifts the gears with a Tremec 5sp and puts the power down with a 8.8 rear with 3.73 gears. Trust me, this car isnt one you want to throw down with on the highway. Dean just ran an 11.7 on the last weekend in June he is looking for a 10 next time.
Nicole's 1981 TransAm
Ah, what a girls car....That is if the girl likes a nitrous fed, fire breathing 455 tearing up the road in a restored, classic Pontiac! Nicole is one of the few women who can truly show the boys her place...the winners circle. This Year Nicole just got a set of wenzler heads, a full roller assembly and bumped the Top Gun Nitrous shot to a 300, Not to mention the new 9 inch ford rearend. She is looking for low 10 second pass.
Shane and Nicoles 1993 Formula
Shane and Nicoles Formula is the true definition of "sleeper". A beutiful stock appearing car on the outside, it doesnt even give away its secrets when the hood is popped. Looking like a stock LT4 Firehawk you would never think this car moves to the tune of 12.90's at 5800 feet elevation! The Nitrous system gives the biggest motivational boost to push power through a 2200 converter to the 700r4. The only thing that gives away the cars performance potential is a quick look at the ET streets.
Dean's 1990 Mustang
Dean's beutifull red metallic mustang is one of the more stock vehicles of our clan. Sporting a 5.0 with a cold air intake and flowmaster exhaust it makes for a great driver. Dont expect this car to stay that way for long though. Word on the street is there is already a supercharged engine in the works.
Shane and Nicole's Yenko
Yenko...a magical word. Conjures up thaughts of big block, 4 speed, tire roasting muscle cars. This Camaro satisfies every one of those fantasies, 427 big block chevy engine, Muncie 4 speed tranny, beutifull classic lines...and the one magical word that brings it all together...Yenko.
Shane and Nicole newest 70 goat

The car was bought in October and it came in boxes. Thanks to Joe and Dean helping them out they made the first car show of the year. All the cars Shane and Nicole have the one just got done took a trophy. Well hope we get some pics when they get the engine done.

Deans 04 NINJA The Green Power Ranger
Deans Got so much money that green was the only color that would fit the bike. He loves to ride all over town with the wind though his hair. He said when he bought it is just another payment.  He hope the gas differance makes up for the payment.
